Riding for the disabled, macquarie park - public art display

Project Overview

Active Conductors proudly supported a meaningful community project by providing the electrical infrastructure for a public art installation at the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) in Macquarie Park. The project involved relocating illuminated horse sculptures from West Ryde to their new permanent home, ensuring a safe and vibrant display powered by a dedicated electrical setup.

Value: 10K

Client: Ryde Council

Scope of Works

  • Electrical relocation of public art display horses from West Ryde to Macquarie Park

  • Installation of a dedicated switchboard to manage display power and controls

  • Integration of RGB lighting systems with programmable timers

  • Custom wiring and enclosure for weather-resistant control components

  • Coordination with artists, council representatives, and RDA stakeholders

  • Delivery of a safe, visually engaging, and low-maintenance lighting solution

Dedicated Lighting Control & Power Supply

To power the RGB-lit sculptures, we designed and installed a dedicated switchboard tailored for lighting control, timer programming, and system protection. This ensured long-term reliability and easy operation for the client, while enhancing the visibility and artistic impact of the installation.

Community-Driven Outcome

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to community partnerships and public spaces. By supporting Riding for the Disabled, we helped bring artistic life and recognition to a valuable organisation, while ensuring the infrastructure was robust, safe, and built to last.
