Active Conductors was awarded a fast-tracked, campus-wide electrical works package at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) over the Christmas 2022 period. With multiple building upgrades, high-end fit-outs, and a tight holiday shutdown window, this complex, multi-site project required exceptional coordination and delivery under pressure—all completed on time and to the highest standard.

Scope of Works

Fit-Outs Across Five Buildings:

1. Level 3, Building C22 – Chancellor’s Boardroom & Adjoining Meeting Rooms

2. Large Presentation Room – Building E12

3. Law Room – Building F8

4. Studio – G19 Scientia Building

5. Classroom Refurbishment – Building G27

Additional Works:

• 12 bathroom upgrades in Building C22 with high-spec fixtures and compliant power

• 2 hallway refurbishments on the ground floor of C22 with new lighting and finishes

• PowerPoint and AV infrastructure installations in 26 separate rooms across campus to support integrated AV systems and contractor requirements

High-End Educational Spaces

Several of the upgraded spaces, including the UNSW Chancellor’s Boardroom, studio facilities, and law classrooms, required tailored lighting, power distribution, and AV integration to suit academic and administrative functions. High-end finishes and architectural detailing were supported by our precision electrical installations.

Complex Delivery with Tight Timeframes

With numerous trades operating concurrently across multiple buildings, our team navigated a tight Christmas construction window with zero delays. Careful sequencing and constant communication ensured all works were completed efficiently and without disruption to UNSW’s operations.
